Night photography with a cinematic edge

Bardia Boomer, also known online as @boomerbardia, got into photography in high school after picking up a Rebel T5. One rainy night, shooting street photos outside a concert hall, something clicked. There was a distinct feeling of being invisible in a crowded moment, as if the camera created its own world, and he loved it.
He became drawn to blending real life with a cinematic atmosphere. Influenced by Tron and Blade Runner, he began experimenting with cyberpunk edits and colour, shaping how he sees the world. Neon, fog, colour, and mood became central to his work.
What started on empty streets eventually evolved into photographing people, music events, and moments full of energy, with every image treated like a frame from a film.

My goal has always been to evoke emotions. I want my photographs to pull someone back to a moment in their life, to help them reminisce, to feel something real, and to look at a scene with a new perspective.

/ FAQ
What type of photography do you specialize in?
I focus on portraits, event coverage, night sessions, brand visuals, social content, and artist promo. Most of my work lives in that space between real life and something that feels cinematic, with a lot of attention on mood, colour, and emotion.
Where are you based?
I am based in Vancouver, BC and usually shoot around the city and the Lower Mainland. If the project is right, I am open to traveling or working in other cities by request.
Do you offer on-location shoots?
Most shoots are on location, using the city, venues, or your space. If we need a studio look, we can book a studio in Vancouver for the session.
Do you have a studio?
I do not have a permanent studio space at the moment. For shoots that need a studio look, we can book a studio in the city or work in a location that gives a similar feel.
How far in advance should I book a session?
It is best to reach out 2 to 4 weeks in advance so we can plan properly. For last minute ideas, you can still message me and I will see what is possible.
Do you help with ideas, posing, and styling?
Yes. You do not need to show up with everything figured out. I can help with locations, references, posing, and general styling direction. If you need something more planned out we can talk through options.
How long does it take to receive the final images?
Most shoots are delivered in about 2 to 3 business days. If it is a bigger project or something that needs more detailed editing, the delivery time is usually within a week. I always keep you updated so you know exactly when to expect your photos.
How do I book a session?
Reach out through the contact form, Instagram, or email with what you want to shoot, rough dates, and the type of session. From there we can lock in details, pricing, and a time that works.
