Ottawa at Night

/ Overview
  • Ottawa feels different after dark. It’s quieter, colder, and more spaced out, which gives everything a heavier mood. I’m drawn to empty streets, pools of light, long shadows, and moments that feel still rather than busy. A lot of these photos come from walking the city at night and letting the atmosphere lead.

This series focuses on night photography in Ottawa, Ontario, using available light to capture mood, texture, and contrast. I pay close attention to how light falls on buildings, sidewalks, and people moving through the city after hours. The goal isn’t landmarks or postcard shots, but an honest look at what Ottawa feels like once things slow down and most people are gone.
